Admission methods

• Method 1: Results of the Hih School Graduation Exam
  – Criterion: the sum of three subject examinations from the High School Graduation Examination according to the Entrance Examination Groups.
  – Allotment: 50% – 70% of total admissions
• Method 2: Excellent graduates of selected High Schools according to the Viet Nam National University criteria
  – Allotment: 5-15% of total admissions
• Method 3: Direct/Prioritized admissions
  – Criteria:
  Method 3.1: direct/prioritized admissions based on the Viet Nam Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) policies and guidelines on higher education admission.
  Method 3.2: direct/prioritized admissions for the valedictorians of selected High Schools according to the Viet Nam National University criteria.
  Allotment: 1% of total admissions.
• Method 4: Results of Scholastic Aptitude Test organized by the Viet Nam National University – Ho Chi Minh city
  – Candidates are to take the Scholastic Aptitude Test organized by the Viet Nam National University – Ho Chi Minh city with 120 multiple-choice questions in 150 minutes. Maximum number of points is 1,200.
  – Allotment: 10% – 45% of total admissions
• Method 5: Applicants with International Baccalaureate or graduates of secondary school programs from overseas institutions
  – Allotment: 5% – 10% of total admissions
• Method 6 (for twinning programs): Results of high school programs according to official three-year transcript
  – Allotment: 10% – 20% of total admissions
  – Criteria: the average score of three selected subjects from three-year records of high school programs according to the Entrance Examination Groups.
  – Tentative admission time: 02 times/year.
